NSS Seven-Day Camp Commences at D.A.V. College, Sector 10, Chandigarh with Spiritual Fervour and Patriotic Zeal

Chandigarh, February 23, 2026:

D.A.V. College, Sector 10, Chandigarh inaugurated its Seven-Day and Night NSS Special Camp with spiritual fervour and a strong commitment to community service.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Sh. Saurabh Joshi, Mayor, UT, Chandigarh; Col. Daljeet Singh Cheema (Retd.), distinguished army officer, eminent academician, and celebrated author; and the Guest of Honour, Dr. Parveen Goyal, Programme Coordinator, NSS, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Addressing the volunteers, Chief Guest Sh. Saurabh Joshi lauded the NSS for nurturing leadership qualities, patriotism, resilience, and civic consciousness among students. Col. Daljeet Singh Cheema and Dr. Parveen Goyal further encouraged participants to regard the camp as a crucible for character formation, teamwork, and constructive social engagement.

In her presidential address, Dr. Mona Narang exhorted the volunteers to steadfastly uphold the ideals of discipline, compassion, and selfless national service.

The programme was organized under the leadership of Principal Dr. Mona Narang and coordinated by NSS Programme Officers Dr. Kashma Sharma, Dr. Yogyata, Dr. Raghav Khanna, and Dr. Manminder Singh Anand.

The camp aims to promote social responsibility, national integration, and volunteerism, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to nation-building.
