Playback singer Shaan is set to treat the audience with a special concert dedicated to the legendary singer Kishore Kumar, has shared his opinion on the longevity of the songs in the current era of Hindi music.

The singer spoke ahead of the show at his office in the Khar area of Mumbai, and said that bad songs are always present in every era, and it’s not like that overall music is bad currently. He said that composers are still making good songs, and singers are giving their voice to those songs.

One of India's finest actors Dhanush has now disclosed the reason for naming his eagerly awaited upcoming film, 'Idli Kadai.'

Participating in the audio launch event of the film, which was held at the Nehru Indoor stadium in the city, Dhanush said, "Some films will be named after the protagonist. But in this film, this Idli shop is the protagonist. Therefore, it has been named Idli Kadai."

Choreographer, filmmaker and star Youtuber Farah Khan, who hosted the Weekend Ka Vaar segment of “Bigg Boss 19” during superstar Salman Khan’s absence, has asked actor Akshay Kumar if he’s game to make part two of their 2010 heist comedy film “Tees Maar Khan”.

Farah shared a picture of herself along with Akshay from the sets of “Bigg Boss 19”. The actor was seen in the controversial reality show promoting his upcoming film “Jolly LLB 3.”

Actress-singer Jennifer Lopez revealed that she spent weeks preparing for the role of Argentine politician and activist Eva Peron in the 1996 biographical musical drama film “Evita” before queen of pop Madonna was roped in for the part.

Speaking during a question-and-answer session, Lopez said: "I went to audition for Evita for (director) Alan Parker. I had been practising for weeks and I sing my heart out and he goes, ‘You’re amazing. You know Madonna has the part, right?’ I said, ‘OK, bye-bye. Nice to meet you.’"

Lopez is currently starring in the big screen adaptation of Kiss of the Spider Woman, the new musical drama film, reports.

The makers of director Selvamani Selvaraj's much-anticipated period drama, 'Kaantha', featuring actor Dulquer Salmaan in the lead, have now announced that they have decided to postpone the release of the film.

The film was scheduled to hit screens on September 12.

Hollywood star Tom Holland has said that he gets a new Spider-Man suit “every 2 weeks”.

Holland told Esquire in an interview that he imagines he is given a new Spider-Man suit once a fortnight after.

"Yeah, it definitely does. I probably get a new suit every two weeks, I reckon," Holland, who began filming his upcoming fourth entry in the superhero franchise, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, in August, said.

Salman can be seen dressed in combat fatigues featuring a jacket with insignia, and other layers of the old Personal Camouflage Disruptive Pattern Material (PC DPM). Since the Galwan stand-off happened in 2020-2021, the character has been dressed accordingly. PC DPM was replaced by the New Battle Dress Uniform (NBDU) of the INCAM (Indian National Camouflage).

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has now cleared director Arun Prabhu's eagerly awaited neo political thriller, 'Sakthi Thirumagan', featuring actor Vijay Antony in the lead, for release with an U/A certificate. eo political thriller film Sakthi Thirumagan, spoke at length about the politics his film would showcase.

Vijay Antony Film Corporation, which is producing the film, took to its X timeline to make the announcement. It wrote, "The hustler #ShakthiThirumagan is now unstoppable. U/A certified! #ShakthiThirumaganTrailer out now."

The film is scheduled to hit screens on September 19 this year.

Filmmaker Ramesh Sippy has talked about when he first cast Amjad Khan as Gabbar in the blockbuster Sholay, many people doubted his choice and felt the late actor was like a "mouse" compared to the other major stars such as Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra.

However, Amjad's incredible performance proved everyone wrong and turned out to be an iconic superstar because of the villainous role he played.

Talking about casting controversy over Gabbar, Sippy told: “For those who did not like them they will say this only that many big stars are there and there is a mouse standing in front of them (itne saare badhe actor log hai aur unke saamne ek chuha khada kardiya).”

Producer-actor-director Sachin Pilgaonkar, who essayed the role of Rahim chacha's son in the iconic film ‘Sholay’, has spoken up about an important sequence in the film, which director Ramesh Sippy left out in the lock edit.

Sachin spoke recently, as he celebrated 50 years of ‘Sholay’, and said that although director Ramesh Sippy had edited out the part, there were multiple reasons that led to the decision.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan shared that it is difficult for him to face the emotional pain of contestants who lose in his quiz-based show “Kaun Banega Crorepati.”

“We sit on the hot seat and meet and confront the contestants that have ambitious hopes of winning during the week of their stay on the floor .. and when they cannot make it , it's the hardest to control the frustration of defeat and lost opportunity for them, yes. (sic.)”

“But for me as well .. it is emotionally shattering to (see) their tears swell up as they find the week over, the Hooter played and the need to come and play , for whatever personal reasons, goes missing (sic.)”

He feels that while he tries to console them, the loss of a life-changing opportunity is heartbreaking.
