Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government has made it clear that there is no place in the state for gangsterism, crime, and those who spread fear. The Mann government’s policy is absolutely clear—zero tolerance. There will be no compromise with those who break the law, and the safety of the common people will remain the top priority. The Punjab Police have been given full freedom to take strict and immediate action against criminals.
In recent days, the Punjab Police have acted swiftly in several major cases, proving that the government and the police stand firmly with the people. In the Sarpanch Jarmail Singh murder case, the Punjab Police tracked down the accused within a short time and arrested them from Raipur, Chhattisgarh. This was a well-planned and rapid operation, clearly showing that criminals can no longer hide anywhere.
In the high-profile murder case of famous kabaddi player Rana Balachauria in Mohali, the Punjab Police took bold and decisive steps. During an encounter, one accused was neutralized, though two police personnel were injured in the operation. Despite this, the police did not back down and continued the chase, eventually arresting two more accused from West Bengal. This shows that the Punjab Police are not in the mood to spare criminals at any cost.
Today, while foiling another major conspiracy, the Barnala Police prevented a planned attack on Punjabi singer Gulab Sidhu in time. The police arrested three people, including the Sarpanch of Kotduna, who were plotting the attack. This brought great relief and proved that the Punjab Police are capable not only of acting after a crime but also of preventing it beforehand.
In the case of the murder of a grocery shop owner in Tarn Taran, the police took immediate action. The accused was killed in a police encounter, sending a strong message that those who attack innocent citizens will not be spared. This action reflects that the Mann government is not showing any leniency toward criminals.
In all these cases, one thing is clearly visible—quick response, strong willpower, and complete preparedness. This strategy of the Punjab government and Punjab Police is strengthening law and order in the state and increasing public trust. Now, criminals have realized that no matter where they are, they cannot escape the grip of the law.
These steps by the Mann government make it clear that the resolve to free Punjab from gangsterism and crime is not just a slogan but has been implemented on the ground. The Punjab Police are working day and night, and the government is providing them with full support. This is why Punjab is moving toward a safer, more peaceful, and better future.
