Pele, soccer legend, passes away at 82 due to Cancer

30th December (Bureau report) || Soccer legend Pele, titled 'the greatest' by FIFA, passes away at 82.

The former World Cup winner was suffering from cancer and was not doing well.Pele got admitted in a hospital for a respiratory problem on November 29. However, he stopped responding to chemotherapy and was shifted to palliative care. He died after having a very long battle against colon cancer. 

 He was also Brazil's 3 times world cup winning legend, who masterminded the "beautiful game". He was born in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil, the legendary footballer is still the highest goal-scorer for the Selecao, with 77 goals in 95 games.

Edson Arantes do Nascimento or popularly known as Pele and was born on October 23, 1940.
