Education department officials and 19,000 school teachers launch a one-day special awareness campaign

Chandigarh, July 1 || As part of the 'Mission Fateh' launched by the state government to defeat the Corona pandemic, teachers from around 19,000 schools across the state and officials of education department today went door to door to educate the general public about the Corona epidemic.

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the department said that the teachers and officers / employees of all the government schools had gone door to door taking precautionary measures to avoid corona. During the outreach campaign, the teachers instructed the general public on how to wash their hands as well as how to wear masks and keep physical distance. The general public was also explained in detail about the use of these precautions to prevent the spread of covid-19.

The spokesperson said that the during door to door campaign teachers distributed pamphlets of the message given by the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh under Mission Fateh and apprised the general public about the symptoms of the corona affected patient and urged them to be vigilant and loving. The general public was also urged to take special care of the elderly and children and to follow the government's guidelines regarding the gathering of a certain number of people during social functions.

The spokesperson further said that during this time people were encouraged to download the cova app in their mobiles and were also made aware about the services available through this app. There was great enthusiasm among the general public to defeat the Corona epidemic. Public awareness teams were assured of full implementation of the precautions to be taken to prevent the spread of the corona virus.
