PRAYAGRAJ, October 8th || A five day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Data Science for Internet of Things will be organized in online mode by Data Analytics Lab, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad with the support of AICTE Training And Learning (ATAL) Academy Programmes from Friday at Jhalwa campus, IIIT-A. Director Prof. P. Nagabhusan will grace the occasion as a guest of honour.
Dr. Manish Kumar, Coordinator said that data science for IoT is a multi-disciplinary area that uses scientific methods, algorithms and systems to extract hidden knowledge and insights from data. It is the study of where information comes from, what it represents and how it can be transformed into a valuable resource in the creation of business and IT strategies.
The objectives of the programme are to disseminate the knowledge of data sciences among students, researchers and academicians and provide conceptual understanding of how data sciences can be used to innovate and improve business processes. This will create awareness and interest in this technology among students and researchers.
He said that topics to be covered in seminar include concept of data sciences, IOT fundamentals and its issues, data analysis in IOT domain, probability theory & statistics, linear algebra, big data algorithms & analysis for IOT, visualization of data, machine learning algorithms for IOT, classification and regression, security issues in IOT, deep learning techniques used in IOT .
