Dr. Jernail Singh Anand, a former Principal DAV College, and a towering literary figure from Chandigarh, whose work embodies a rare fusion of creativity, intellect, and moral vision has dedicated 12 epics ( Epicasia, in two volumes ) to Serbia and its illustrious daughter Dr. Maja Herman Sekulic.
Reacting to this grand gesture by a great Indian author, who was named Hony Member of the Association of Writers of Serbia, Dr. Maja Herman Sekulić, describes Epicasia as “a grandiose work that plays with myths from the Mahabharata to Homer, Dante, and Milton, and places Dr. Anand firmly on the world literary stage as the greatest philosopher among poets, and the greatest poet among philosophers of our time.”
Dr Anand is Laureate of Seneca, Charter of Morava, Franz Kafka and Maxim Gorky awards with an opus of 180 books, Dr. Anand’s name adorns the Poets’ Rock in Serbia. Anand is regarded as the fiery prophet of a chaotic present with a voice that resonates globally while remaining fiercely Indian.
